At only 2 years old, Oliver was dumped at feral-colony in Bay Point by someone who had neutered but not chipped him. Sadly, the kitties beat him up pretty bad, suffering a puncture wound on his head and hip.
Thankfully, the feeder took him inside and treated his injuries. And he’s regained his trust in humankind again, enjoying pets, playtime, snuggles and kisses. He does love a good fuzzy biscuit session. He did really well when his foster’s friend came to visit this week, warming up quickly and enjoying pets and wanting attention. He’s a sweet boy who deserves a better life.
While FIV sounds scary with those three letters– it is not a death sentence. It means he may be immune compromised so it is best if he is an indoor kitty (so he’s not exposed to illnesses from other cats) and fed a good quality diet (which all our pets should get) and take him in for annual check-ups (which all our pets should get). The risk of spreading FIV is slim once kitty is neutered (no more fighting or mating which is how it’s typically spread), and Oliver is a mild-mannered kitty who just wants to live in please.
So if you want a companion, affectionate buddy to hang out with you and you are looking for just one– Oliver is PURRFECT for you!
