Looking to adopt a cat? Then come to our Black Cat, Black Saturday and Sunday Sale!
All of our beautiful black cats will be on sale on Black Friday weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, November 26- 27th, from 1 – 4 PM at our three adoption locations. All black cats and black and white cats can be adopted for only $50 on Black Friday weekend only (our usual fee is $125 for kittens and $100 for adults). The regular adoption fee will apply to all cats and kittens of other colors.
CC4C’s Black Cat Black Saturday and Sunday Sale will be held at Lafayette Pet Food Express and Pleasant Hill Pet Food Express as well as Walnut Creek PETCO from 1:00-4:00pm. The fee includes spay and neuter, FVRCP vaccines, deworming, flea meds, and a microchip. Because CC4C doesn’t have a shelter facility, all of our cats are fostered and raised in the homes of volunteer fosters where they receive the loving attention they need from devoted families. Our fosters get to know each cat’s personality and temperament and will help you select one or two cats that best fit your lifestyle. See most (but not all) of our available cats on our website under the Adoptions tab or on Facebook.
CC4C President, Gemma Osendorf says, “Although black cats are often the sweetest and most charming in the cat world, the public tends to overlook them. Colorful cats are more eye-catching, leaving our black beauties unadopted week after week. This event will give them a chance to shine.”
With our Black Cat Black Saturday and Sunday Sale, you can get an early holiday gift for yourself or a beloved family member. Rescue groups discourage giving a cat or kitten on Christmas Day, when the noise and activity levels are so high. Better to give your family member a chance to pick out his/her own fuzzy, furry gift before the big day. CC4C’s Black Saturday and Sunday event is an opportunity to “shop” cat candidates and adopt a beautiful, loving black cat at a bargain fee!
Community Concern for Cats is an all-volunteer cat rescue non-profit organization. We have been helping people to help the homeless cats and kittens of Contra Costa County for 30 years and we have touched the lives of over 50,000 cats. To help support our work, we operate an upscale thrift shop, Rescued Treasures, 1270 Newell Avenue in Walnut Creek that relies on individual donations and grants.
